We like animation and games so much we thought we’d make this site. Bit of a creative type? Then if you show us yours we’ll show you ours - with actual cash money for the most popular content every month. And if we like it enough, we might even pay you to create some more.
History
4mations is a website made for people to upload, view and share animated films and games. The site was founded in 2008 and is the love child of Channel 4, Aardman Animations and Lupus Films. With the site targeted at over 18s, the animations are often humorous, interesting and sometimes a little perverse - with the main focus being on damn right funny. Channel 4 commissioned the project, backed by Aardman Animations and Lupus Films in January 2008. The project team then sent out a call for submissions to commission some animations and the beta site launched in August 2008.

Money sharing program
Each month the most popular content gets cash rewards. From September 08 onwards, the total reward fund will go up to £1,000 per calendar month, shared between the most popular 6 films each month, and at least one game a month will get cash too. Payments are via cheque or Paypal and not all content qualifies (see the Terms & Conditions’ for more details).
